Signs of Life

Daily Nature: I found a new park to walk in. These horse chestnuts that decided to stay on the tree instead of falling are making me happy.
It's January, but we're getting ready to bloom:

Back at home: To combat the winter blues, we're leaving our Christmas lights up until spring. Right now they're clear and red, but in March we'll switch out the red for green bulbs in honor of spring and St. Patrick's Day. It's cozy to bring Hubby home after work and see our cute little house all lit up.

I've been busy around the house all day, doing some decluttering and cleaning, along with the dishes and laundry and feeding Ms. Possible Covid (she's afraid to touch anything and I'm fine with her not touching stuff).

C gave me this beautiful locket for Christmas and today I was finally able to open it. Yay!

Later: R's test came back positive for covid. She's fully vaccinated, but hasn't had the booster. Hubby and I had our booster shots in October. R's been sick all week but it hasn't been bad - it's as if she's been home from school with a bad cold. I hate to think how this might have gone if we hadn't received the vaccines.

At any rate, she was sad, and cried. Crumbl cheered her up.
