Here we are again - it's ROAD TRIP TIME!
We had some room in the backseat, so we picked up a fourth, R's friend S:
We're headed to R's soccer tournament in Seattle! It was a nice short trip, especially when compared to our last cross country adventure. We loved arriving at our destination in 2.5 hours. This is our first Seattle trip since C's last soccer tournament, right before the pandemic started.
We checked into the Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Renton and ate dinner at Whistle Stop Ale House in Renton (a lucky find - delicious food and dessert, with a bonus upside down Christmas tree:
After dinner we drove around Renton's downtown area for a bit, then back to the inn. Tomorrow we're choosing another hotel. This one is fine but apparently some of the rooms offer coupons for free breakfast, and ours isn't one of them! The NERVE!
