Social Distancing, Day 16

Hubby went to the office for his weekly shift. I slept late. Had weird dreams about going back to work - R had cut her blonde hair short, B was ripping off the F word like she was getting paid (very out of character for her), and people were teasing each other about their boobs like it was the funniest, most original idea ever. Needless to say, not much was accomplished.

Showered, then took my position on the couch. Just Dance then commenced:
Had a C sighting:
I need to eat but I'm not feeling anything today.

Meanwhile, the girls' stomping led to the interruption of this girl's nap:
Then, Mario Kart:
....and a random discussion about Bella finding didgeridoos on Craigslist which led to B asking Alexa to play didgeridoo music.

H came and hung out for a bit:
R got into one of her secret-telling moods:
(They're never not silly)

Then I checked the mail and THIS arrived:
My official profile pic:
Yay!!

And now I'm working on getting a box of bonnet tags done to take to the shop tomorrow while I'm out Shi**ing. Should be an interesting day. I've already claimed my first order.
Several people contributed to making dinner: R made pasta, L made rolls and I microwaved some frozen veggies.

Social Distancing, Day 15

The trees at The Old Church are blooming!
My walking buddies. Goober was being a very naughty boy on this walk.
Checked on my strawberries after our walk. More blooms!
After eating my share of last night's brownies for breakfast (don't judge), we had Starbucks. Again. (Don't judge.) I had the turkey basil panini this time....meh.

Having quiet time on the couch, watching Ghost and working on little projects while Hubby does office work.
Today's baking exploits include B making bread and R doing something she found on Tik Tok.

We're tracking the new trampoline we ordered last week; it's in Portland. Woot!

Social Distancing, Day 14

Another lazy morning. Woke up, did hair and makeup, went back to bed (because why not).
Ate eggs and toast around 11. I had a text from Shi**! Sweet!

Then it was off to Daybreak Park near Battle Ground for Hubby, R, Goober and me:
Water: so tempting.
R was on the lookout for good rocks to paint
Goob really doesn't like water. We're trying to acclimate him
The rain showed up:
Ended up wetting my feet after all. The water wasn't very cold.
Afterward we drove through Starbucks in Battle Ground for hot chocolate and treats. I'm loving these Sunday excursions.

Now we're resting and I'm working on getting my Shi** together (titter).

Some perusal of library cookbooks, some noodling around with the new piano solo book, some goofing off with very fussy and possibly teething Baby R, and then dinner. B made chicken and R made twice-baked potatoes, her first.
Now who's making brownies? (Bella did.)

Social Distancing, Day 13

Woke up early (early to bed) and lounged till 9 AM. I'm full of ideas for today. One is revamping my daily schedule, since I haven't been following it anyway. Another is incorporating activities on different days of the week. Another is going outside and messing around in the garden, deciding what I want to plant this year. Another is finding another body of water (like Greenleaf Slough and Panther Creek Falls last week), either today or tomorrow.

At any rate, I have lots to be busy with, and unlike yesterday, I'm in the mood for busy.

This kid crawled into our bed and told me dorky secrets:
Ate brunch: eggs and toast. Put away the new Pyrex storage dishes and sorted the Tupperware into "cupboard-worthy" and "not". (We knew this day was coming.)

B & L made a lovely chicken & broccoli casserole for lunch that was almost immediately scarfed down. I took a nap. Lounged for a while. Hubby & R went to get groceries and two dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts (they were buy one, get one free). R and I and Hubby played Just Dance.

Social Distancing, Day 12

Slept in. Went to Starbucks with Hubby and bought breakfast. Cried a little, thinking about the virus, who might get sick and whom we might lose. It scares me and makes me sad.

Had some daughter time:
Feeling quite melancholy today. The rain and cold aren't helping. Exercise would help, but it's rainy and cold out.
Trimmed my bangs though.

Later: Feeling better. I made layered taco dip with beans, cheese, and leftover chicken, baked, with olives and avocado on top. Hubby and Bella and I devoured it. Watched movies with R, who made pizookies in her new tiny cast iron skillets Hubby bought last night. She served me one with ice cream. I won't need dinner tonight.
Evening: These people played Clue.
This tweet made me laugh till I cried, and no one in my family could figure out why it was making me hysterical:
It ended up being a cozy day.

Social Distancing, Day 11

I'm still waiting for the grocery shopping gig to begin - their package will hopefully arrive soon. In the meantime I have projects to work on; lots to do.

I spent the morning washing dishes and packing some of them. Trying to make our kitchen more efficient, I'm paring down the extra dishes, utensils, pots, pans, bowls, etc. and making the extras unavailable for use. Take that, kids!

Hubby and I took R and drove to Burgerville for lunch, then drove around the old Cascade Park neighborhood and enjoyed the beauty. So many things are in bloom.

Speaking of being in bloom:
The strawberries!

I took a gigantic nap, then applied for a Safeway delivery driver job.

This girl had a bath:
Neenaw called tonight. I enjoyed chatting with her. She wants L to post more pictures of Baby R. So adorable.

B & L sent me this. They licked a gummy bear and stuck it to Baby R's head:
