"Your Eyes Need Diapers!"

Work normally is so great, and it was today again, but I am going to complain about one woman whose bad behavior has been rewarded enough times that she expects the same type of over-the-top service every time she comes into the bookstore. She's an entitled 70-year-old brat (she told me her age) and my coworkers and I all had the misfortune of dealing with her because Dan hadn't come in to work yet. (Dan, that was very bad.)

But we survived, and I think we all learned something today, and the thing we learned is that this woman is a turd too old to be acting like such a shit Dan's problem from now on.

Also at work: B and I very often experience down time, so today we came up with the idea of passing notes to each other. His desk is right outside the bookstore door so it's pretty quick and easy for us to slip each other a piece of paper.

Yes. We should.

After my shift, the ODEI had a queer luncheon and panel presentation with amazing Italian food and some poignant stories from the panelists. My eyes became weepy and a nearby woman asked if I was okay and if I needed a hug. I never turn down hugs. Quote of the day: "It's never too late to be who you really are."

Later in the day: Hubby came home, we went to buy plug adapters at Smowes (I also ended up with a teeny new plant)...
...dinner at Snoodles and Company, then we watched a movie that ended up being absolutely terrible. It was recommended by Hubby's (obviously sadistic) folks at the academy, and there were numerous times when each of us yelled at the TV because the movie was so stupid. Nice going, guys.

The Office is always on, thank goodness.
