Mask of the Day: Wild Poppy
Finger Watch: It's getting crusty!
Work today was fun, until it wasn't.
After dropping his work car off in Gresham and going to his office downtown, Hubby needed me to pick him up. It was around lunchtime, so we stopped at McD's and ate on the way back to the shop. That was the fun part.
My trusty serger stopped being trusty, as it kept unthreading itself and doing an incomplete stitch on some mask pieces I was serging together. Yvonne fixed it numerous times until it became obvious that it wasn't going to cooperate, and we decided to wait until Monday before further messing with it. Boo. I love that thing. I finished my day by sewing the rest of the binding I'd abandoned after I learned to use the serger, then pressing some masks. Boo again.
I got sick of being there and left about twenty minutes early. (I love my job for this.) While I waited for my ride home, I took a sweet walk down Evergreen Boulevard and enjoyed the warm day and the lovely spots I found.
A welcoming business entrance:
Eventually my people found me and picked me up on the corner of Evergreen and Main. It was such a gorgeous afternoon. I'm looking forward to some calm this weekend after a couple weeks of birthdays and Mother's Day busy-ness.
Later: I drove all over Creation (it felt like) delivering for Uber Eats tonight, including Thai food to the most stupidly designed apartment complex in the history of mankind. Whoever designed it should be taken out and pantsed. I made some good money, though.
Also: Lately Baby R has been making a face where she mashes her little gums together, making herself look like an old toothless man, which inspired us to create this chant: "Got no teeth! Grandpa Face!"
It goes exceptionally well with R&B, funk and disco music.
