Home from church...

Brennan didn't sleep on Saturday night and didn't feel like church today. I took Hubby and the four other kids to church and stayed home with Brennan.

I picked up the living room, read the paper I bought yesterday (why?), and found Bella's copy of The Hunger Games, which I was introduced to last week on the way home from Salem. After seeing the trailer for the new Hunger Games film being released later this month, I decided it was of utmost importance that I finish the book, so that's how I spent the rest of the day: reading. I finished the first book and by bedtime, made it about halfway through the second book, Catching Fire. Amazing stuff!

Brother and Sister Ba... came over after church to work on Charlotte the minivan. The weather was nice, they didn't make it to church either due to an estate sale at their house (long story, all happy) and figured it was time. Bro. Ba... and Hubby made some good progress, though Hubby admitted to feeling "helpless" at first. Fortunately he found ways to help and felt pretty manly by the end of the work session. Cutie. Charlotte is almost fixed, by the way. We are grateful and can't wait for payday so we can throw money and fudge at these nice people.

We had bacon, egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches for dinner, Brennan and Bella hung out together, Harrison played video games, and Carter and Rosalind played outside while their daddy was out working on the car. They put together a lovely shelter on the front lawn, made of soccer stakes, a green tarp, and all the blankets I would allow outside. It was a beautiful day.

I went to sleep early while everyone else watched movies and made brownies. Sometimes my sleep habits make me feel like Ladyhawke.
