The school kids had a scheduled two-hour late start at school today, and on those days, pretty much everything stops. By the time Harrison goes to school, it's about three hours until I have to go pick up Bella. That combined with Brennan not feeling well and staying home from his classes, which makes me feel like hovering, made for a very quiet, nothing-getting-done day.
Harrison called from school just before it was time to go get Bella to say he felt sick and wanted to come home, so I told Brennan to come with me (I don't like him to be alone when he feels like this) and we would get a treat on the way home from getting the kids. I was thinking Starbucks or something drive-through, but we ended up at Winco so we could all get what we wanted. Then we drove home in time to meet the little kids (they walk home).
I goofed off and either watched movies with Brennan or played with the blog. Tomorrow will be a better motivational day.
In the evening, I took Hubby and Carter to Carter's last basketball practice of the season and snuck over to Safeway for a last egg roll (my Monday night tradition for the last two months). Came home, made dinner, relaxed on the couch, had family prayer, and now blogging.
Harrison's feeling well enough for school tomorrow, but a loose tooth is killing him off, so we're begging him to take care of it with some ibuprofen. It's funny how he tends to take pain personally - "Why me?" - instead of accepting that things hurt sometimes. I hope it's something inborn and not something we've done to him.
Hubby has been battling, via email, some jerk soccer coach in the area who refuses to bend on a scheduled game time. It's funny to listen to. I have half a mind to send this guy a piece of my mind but then it would look like Hubby is too weak to fight his own fights. We can't have that.
Talked to my dear friend Michelle via Facebook for a bit about her baby in utero. I love her dearly.
Now in bed, watching The Office. Great way to end the day.
