Census Test and Stuff

Today I went to the Goodwill employment office and took the census taker test. We were given 30 minutes to complete the test and I made it in under 15, so I had time to go back and find two wrong answers. I ended up with a perfect score, 28 out of 28, which the woman in charge said is "very, very rare," so that made me happy.

Pa and Grandma, Kristy and Steve all went home. This was a great visit, probably the best yet. Now that they're gone, I can put away Christmas, except the nativity sets, since Mom wants to see them when she comes.

Hubby and I went to Walmart for motor oil and cupcakes. We thought about getting a new goldfish to replace Brennan's dead one, but they were out of goldfish. We looked at some bar stools and dining room chairs that might work out.

I'm excited to get busy with new things now. I started the first Christmas stocking today on the 18-count Aida. I tried stitching the design over two squares, but when it turned out to be too big, I went to one square. Hopefully the stocking won't be too small... I'm calling this first one my trial run.

Amazon.com sent an email saying that my perpetual calendar leaflet has been shipped! It might be here by this weekend! It's coming from Chino, CA. Yay :)

I also want to get busy in the dirt - raking the leaves, planting the rest of the bulbs, helping my houseplants be happy by giving them new pots and dirt. I'm really excited for this year.

I'm listening to the playlist on Domestic Exploits - classical - and really enjoying it.
