Nick took down the brown paper covering the windows that has been there since we "shut down*" for COVID-19. I was sewing by the window and loved having a view again. The rain was LOUD. Our cool weather June-uary continues. I wore a flannel shirt today.
Earlier this morning my two favorite feuding coworkers continued their feud. I escaped to the ladies room for a few minutes. Nick felt it necessary to deliver the Leadership Triangle speech. Thankfully C showed up with my ear buds so I could tune out the garbage. I really hate fighting and unpleasantness.
Then, I spent most of the day sewing next to one of these coworkers, and she watched me all day and jumped up to help almost every time I struggled with anything. I know it comes from a place of kindness (mostly), but I really need to be left alone to learn how to do the things I'm doing by myself. I can't keep being rescued. I finally had to use my boundaries with her, which I don't like, but I was nice about it and I think she caught the hint.
So, while work was interesting, the rest of the day was nice. I took R to Craft Warehouse to buy a canvas for Hubby's Father's Day gift (don't tell Hubby), she made me s'mores that were extremely sloppy but the chocolate came out of my cute new mask, and Hubby was on fire with scheduling stuff. C will be trying for his drivers license, R is signed up for driver's ed, and THE DAMN CATS ARE GETTING NEUTERED ON FRIDAY. Whoop whoop! Also, Hubby paid the bills, and I like paid bills, so that was cool of him.

Later Hubby made his magnificent burgers for dinner, and then we learned that the public library opened its book return chute doors (YES thank you library), so we drove downtown and shoved about twenty books into the little doors. Then we took a sweet quick walk up Officers Row, then drove home.
*We never shut down. We just pretended that we did. Then we became "essential" when we switched to making masks. The paper was always funny to me, like we were hiding from the law ("They'll never find us behind this brown paper!").
