The House On 78th*

H needed a ride to work today (more car issues), so Hubby and I ran him to OSF and took off in search of this house I saw last night.

*More accurately, the fence and gate design of the house on 78th....
And - I know you were waiting for it - my fingerrrrrrr
The part of the nail close to the puncture is starting to flake off. I'm on standby with the clippers because if it comes off, that will hurt, and NO THANK YOU.

After seeing the fence, we picked up R, made her drive around Hockinson, came out in Camas, stopped for milk/potty break and breakfast for her, and took off up Washougal River Road. I ventured there for the first time while doing a Shipt shop and wanted to show Hubby how pretty the Washougal River is.
For future reference:

After playing by the river, we grocery shopped, took care of Baby R while B & L went to the dump, and then, the ADHD kicked in. I was tidying things on the piano and found this funny little ornament Mom gave me, and decided to hang it up somewhere, finally. Went down the hall to get the toolbox, which wasn't in its usual place (ahem, CHILDREN), and instead found our blue hammock.

I've been wanting to hang it up near the red and gray one, using the same tree, but using a different corner of the fence. Some major tree prune-age was necessary before it could happen. "If you give a mouse a cookie..."

After:
My Adam, who took a nap and then came outside and got busy taming Eden with me:
He pruned the other holly tree's branches that were hanging over some wires connected to the house; the evergreen tree; the lilacs; the stupid blackberry vines that have been threatening the lilacs; and finally the holly tree in the corner I working on.

Goober takes a sniff:
And the blue hammock, now chilling on the fence until we get longer ropes for it - the ropes it came with aren't long enough to go around the evergreen.
The rose bush Bella and I discovered under some blackberry vines one day when we were pruning, that we cut down to the nubs and it didn't flower last year:
One of its blooms:
And me, chilling in Red/Gray Hammock. That was more work than I was planning to do this afternoon. It felt good though.
By the way, by the time we finished putting things away and tidying up the back porch, we found this:
....which led to this happening:
.....and there you have it.
