While sewing elastic straps into blue donation masks (and listening to Saturday Night Live on my phone and laughing my butt off), I ran the sewing machine needle into my fingernail. It made a gnarly hole in my nail, drove through my finger (not all the way) and broke the machine's needle. That'll teach it to mess with me.
It doesn't look very serious. I wiped it with an alcohol wipe and applied a bandage and popped an ibuprofen and told NO ONE. Went right back to work like a badass*.
After dropping off R at her friend Mae's house, Hubby picked me up for lunch. We went to Panera and I ordered chicken noodle soup because it makes everything better, including sewing machine needle puncture injuries.
Meanwhile, R was living the high life, exploring downtown Couve and going boating with Mae and her family:
R then came home and convinced Hubby that we need a boat.
Also: played with this baby.
*A badass who can't remember when her last tetanus booster was. Hmmmm....
