Afterward, we went to Wal-Mart and replaced our long-dead hand mixer and waffle iron, along with getting an Easter thing for R that she really wanted. The kids are getting candy and gift cards in their baskets, and we're contributing a stuffed Easter bunny and a rattle to Baby R's Easter basket. Fun! The hand mixer was necessary to replace because I'm making deviled eggs for tomorrow and I'm sick of having egg yolk crumbs in my deviled egg guck. No bueno.
After shopping, we watched Baby R while B & L did their Easter shopping, then finished a project we started a while ago: downsizing our kitchen stuff.
Yikes! So much stuff. Pots. Pans. Baking stuff. Linens. Christmas dishes. Regular dishes. Serving pieces up the wazoo. We require nothing else, and we could probably stand to purge even more of it than we already have. But we weren't in the mood for that today.
Hubby took it all out to the garage and stacked it up nicely and neatly.
Then there was a whole bunch of cardboard to recycle, so we took a trip out to Brush Prairie and dumped it at the transfer station recycling bin...
Hubby took R out to practice driving and to the grocery store to buy our last minute Easter dinner purchases. R did extremely well and was quite proud.
This evening our adorable realtor, Kat, surprised us with an egging!
L boiled eggs and the kids set up an egg-coloring station, and ohhhh the creativeness that happened:
B made ^this one^ and brought it over to show me. He was laughing so hard, he was shaking. I love it.
Watching Parasite for the second time is a completely different experience, believe you me! Forgot how funny it is.
