Happy Monday

The forecast calls for showers today, so it was nice to walk outside and see this:

Hello, PDX!
BUDWATCH
We're so excited for spring!

We finally checked the mail this morning, and I found this gem from my friend Angie! Thanks, girl! I loved the confetti!

Now for some random kitty pics:

I had a checkup with my new doctor today and I LOVE HER. Apparently I'll be alive for the next little while so that's good, but she did give me a few things to work on and at the same time made me feel positive and hopeful about things.

Doctor W also asked me for recommendations for restaurants around the area since she's only been here since September. It was a very pleasant visit and the bonus was that I left with two new holes in my right arm. Hooray for science and medicine!!

And: B is home!! He flew home this evening and Hubby picked him up at the airport after soccer practice. So happy he's with us again - we all missed him!

Soccer. Wankers. Pizza.

This morning, R had a soccer game at a field near Lake Oswego. BC, Tawnee, and Kiley were in town and came to visit for a bit. We loved seeing them.

The pastoral landscape

Derrrrrrp

On the way to the field, we saw a store called Wankers, and couldn't resist stopping there after the game for lunch...

Just look at all the Wanker apparel!

Then it was home and pizza with H. I love having him home.

Chillin with the football game

R had another game after this, during which she and Hubby were soaked with rain and came home wet and freezing. Yuck. Meanwhile, I spent quality time with my green planner and made a goal for tomorrow (and maybe after tomorrow, but we'll see how things go). I'll keep us posted.

Lincoln City and Vicinity

GOOD MORNING MR. BREAKFAST!!
(He looks scared. And he should be.)

These two eaters
These two beachwalkers (one is a very naughty boy and the other pulls at his leash)
Someone made a little tortilla shrine on the beach and I have nothing but respect for it
The bay and ocean meeting up
"You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere..."
After this exhausting beach excursion (thanks, Goober!), we finished cleaning and packed up to leave.

Goober, R's plaid butt, and my Alfalfa spike

From Lincoln City, we drove up to Tillamook and then turned east. Drove by some snow:

Shot from the lower deck of the 405 bridge...
...and the I-5 bridge:

We arrived home around 5:30 PM. Happy times.

Lincoln City

Here we go! We're taking Goober this time. :::murmuring:::

Potty break in Sheridan, Oregon
We love the home we're staying in. The view is sweet.
Beachy time

We're so happy to be here. We bought stuff to make breakfast tomorrow at the house, and had Chinese food for dinner.

Gallivanting

First: This Sh*pt order in Beaverton:

Then: Gallivanting. Our old friend, the Interstate 5 Bridge...
Both Hood and St. Helens were out as I was driving north, but I couldn't see them once I parked, dad burn it. Here's where Hood was supposed to be.
I found a flat rock to stand on and think, "HARK! The majestic panorama!"*
(kinda bugged at myself for not grabbing that piece of litter)

Shot of the Day:
Later: Some bedroom decluttering, then:

Birthday dinner with Mel! We went to Petra House for Mediterranean food. Mel had her weekly Zoom meeting with Neenaw and we both chatted with her.
Mel also gave me this gorgeous piece of honey calcite:

And: I spent some time snuggling this child:

"I'm Gonna Be a Happy Idiot"

My day, in a nutshell:

1. A Sh*pt order in Beaverton:

2. Concert band practice, a visit to M*sic World in Hazel Dell, a WinCo sandwich, and a retina screening (cuz DIABEETUS)...plus some free advice on the back of this truck:
(Enjoy Life)

3. My roses are opening!
4. A birthday package from Neenaw! She likes to send me Fostoria pieces.

I picked up Mr. Husband at work, we drove home, we chilled out and ate dinner and watched The Hitman's Bodyguard. Then bed.

"And when the morning light comes streaming in, I'll get up and do it again.....Amen."
