Big Sliver!

We kind of made a bad choice today when we followed our big brothers and Tyson over to our school, and we didn't wear shoes, and we climbed on top of a wooden picnic table and got a NASTY sliver in our foot. I don't know how the boys got her home, but they managed somehow. I took one look at the thing and called the HMO immediately. They were all for bringing her in.

It's a good thing we like to read.

YUCK.  Don't even want to think about how that felt.

Waiting to see the doctor.  Beary makes everything better. 

Numbing cream which unfortunately didn't numb it. 

The sliver went deeper than the doctor originally thought, so Roz had to have some anesthetic injected into her foot... poor thing.  She was not a fan, to say the least.  The doctor pulled out a big chunk but a few fibers were left inside her foot, so he had to cut her skin to get the rest of it out.  

But finally... Sliver's out!  Yay!

Blue, my favorite

Mom gave me these rubbery shoes on our Montana trip - she bought them before the trip and they didn't fit her, so they became mine. I figured with the dirty, gross, wet work I was about to do, it was a good time to try them out. They're cute! I didn't notice the checkerboard print until I saw this picture.

Graduation Day

It was a fun day. First we were accosted at Walmart by these two guys. They belonged to a rugby team from Canada, in town to play the local team. They were hilarious (hard to tell, I know). The guy on the left is from France. Love it.

Playing Clue

We didn't separate the cards into person, place, or weapon categories and put one of each into the envelope.  We just shuffled them, put three random cards in the envelope and are making wild, weird guesses.

Here's how it ended up:

1) Mrs. Peacock with the gun and the rope. (She tied one end of the rope to the trigger and swung it around her head.)

2) Professor Plum in the hall and the kitchen. (It was quite a struggle.  The guy started to die in the hall and finished in the kitchen.)
